A fairy tale of two halves
Studio projects / Gemma Mount
Working in collaboration with photographer Gemma Mount, we created the publication ‘A fairy tale of two halves’ to coincide with the 2011 FA Cup final. It’s a photographic story celebrating the people beneath the costumes of football mascots across the lower leagues in the country. It’s a timely reminder of the ‘strength of the underdog’ in the competition.
Enclosed are confessions from these clandestine and unknown individuals. Brothers Craig and Paul who both share the suit of Chester FC’s Chester The Field Mouse reveal that Paul’s wife only found out he dresses as a mouse every Saturday, after they were married.
