Bringing coconut water to the masses
Vita Coco is now widely regarded as the biggest coconut water brand in the market, but in early 2012 when we started working with them the public was yet to be aware of the latest drinks category to hit the shelves.
We worked with Vita Coco on developing their tone of voice, copywriting, point of sale, seeding kits, sampling activations, press campaigns, van livery and the design of the London black cabs that we saw take over London in the summer of 2013.
In the summer of 2012 we were tasked with creating an experiential activation to encourage sampling. It had been a big summer for London, while the Olympic Games and Diamond Jubilee brought waves of visitors into the city, it was business as usual for native Londoners.
Happily, Vita Coco was on hand to freshen up the long hot days (we’re sure there were at least a couple). The summer sampling campaign we devised for the brand involved us choreographing an urban carnival – involving beaches, hula hoop dancers, boom boxes and lots of free coconut water – bringing the spirit of the Brazilian beach to the streets of London!
